Mike Rice was the winner of a $25 gift certificate from the random drawing of all survey respondents. We were pleased to have so many suggestions, several will be implemented in 1996 as follows: * Refreshments After Tournaments - Increased from 2 to 4 events. * Low Gross Prize - A low gross prize will be awarded at all appropriately formatted tournaments. Also, First place medals will be awarded. * Types of Tournaments - The Skins and Stableford formats will be removed from the schedule and be replaced with new formats to be determined. * Annual Outing - Alternate sites to Heritage Hills, closer to Baltimore, will be evaluated. Cost/amenities benefit will be considered. * Member\Guest - Tournament will not be held this year. Other ideas on replacement to be considered. * Handicap Monitoring System - System is in the process of being revised to place more emphasis on Tournament scores. Details to follow. * Earlier Tee Times - Sorry, we can not improve on this. All Pine Ridge weekend tournaments are noon to 2 p.m. We are fortunate to have 11 pre-arranged tournament dates a year. * Prize Variety - We will no longer have gift certificates to grocery stores(i.e. Thanksgiving time tournament). Pine Ridge will not issue gift certificates for greens fees, lessons, carts. Emphasis will be on gift Certificates from Pine Ridge, Jay Perkins, and cash. * Club Social Committee Formed - To consider non-golf oriented events. Bill Gosnell(ph.666-3525) is chairman and is looking for committee volunteers and ideas. Again thanks to all who participated, and as you have ideas or questions during the year do not hesitate to call a Board member with them. GOLF TOURNAMENT - APRIL 13, 1995 The next golf tournament will be held on April 13, 1995 and will be a 3 Best Net Ball format. In order to sign-up for this tournament you must complete the form below and send it along with a check for $21.00 to the Pro Shop at Pine Ridge Golf Course so that it is received no later than April 3, 1996. The tournament coordinator is Don Vahrenkamp who can be contacted at 889-3847, if necessary. The tournament is limited to the first 60 members to sign-up.
